Authorship and contributorship

Aligned with COPE Core Practices

Authorship at Journal of Education and Teaching Learning follows the ICMJE criteria and COPE guidance. Everyone listed as an author must have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, data or analysis of the work, drafted or critically revised it, approved the final version and agreed to be accountable for it.

  • People who contributed in other ways (technical help, language editing, general supervision, funding) are named in the Acknowledgements, not as authors.
  • The corresponding author makes sure all co-authors have approved the submission and the author list.
  • Changes to the author list after submission require a written request with the agreement of every author and are decided by the editor.
  • Contributions may be described with the CRediT taxonomy.
  • Generative AI tools cannot be authors.
