This study investigates the process of Arabic semantic acquisition through the HelloTalk application from a psycholinguistic perspective. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving ten students of Nurul Jadid University who had actively used HelloTalk for at least three months. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and online conversation documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that semantic acquisition developed through interactions with native speakers, discussions of everyday topics, the use of application features, and contextual interpretation of language input. HelloTalk assisted students in expanding their vocabulary and developing a deeper contextual understanding of meaning in authentic communication. The acquisition process was influenced by cognitive factors, affective motivation, language interaction, and metalinguistic awareness. The study concludes that HelloTalk has the potential to support natural and sustainable Arabic semantic acquisition in accordance with psycholinguistic principles.
