Journal of Education and Teaching Learning is an open access journal. Readers never pay to read an article; the article processing charge (APC) covers the cost of publishing it. The amounts below are read directly from the journal's current settings.

Invoiced after the initial check; review starts once it is paid.

What the fee covers

  • Managing the peer review and the editorial decision.
  • Copyediting, layout and proofs in the journal format.
  • A DOI for the article and its registration with the indexing services of the journal.
  • Permanent open access hosting and archiving.
  • A certificate of publication for the authors.

When you pay

After your manuscript passes the initial check you receive a link to configure the invoice. The invoice is due within 15 days, and peer review starts once it has been paid. A manuscript whose invoice is not paid by the due date is withdrawn from the process. An accepted article is not published before its invoice has been paid.

How to pay

  • Online: pay with the payment link on the invoice (bank transfer, e-wallet or card, as offered by the payment provider). The payment is confirmed automatically.
  • Upload the transfer receipt on the invoice page within 7 days.

You receive the invoice and, once paid, the receipt by e-mail. Both can also be opened from your author profile.

Fast Track

Fasttrack costs IDR 950,000 on top of the fee (IDR 2,180,000 in total). After payment the manuscript goes to the editors straight away, and each reviewer has at most 1 days for the assessment. Fasttrack shortens the deadlines, not the standards: it does not guarantee acceptance or a publication date, and revisions requested by the reviewers must still be made. With a paid Fasttrack invoice the Letter of Acceptance can be downloaded on the payment page straight away; the review and any revisions still follow.

Partner service fee

When one of the journal's partners helps you with the manuscript, a "Fee Services" line is added to your invoice. You see it before you pay, and it is listed separately on the invoice and the receipt. See Working with a partner.

Waivers and discounts

Authors who cannot pay, for example authors from low-income countries or without funding, may write to [email protected] to ask for a full or partial waiver before they submit. Requests are confidential and do not affect the review.

Refunds

Whether and how a payment is returned, for example when a paid manuscript is declined, is explained in the refund policy.

Editorial independence

Fees never influence editorial decisions. Editors handling a manuscript decide on scholarly merit only, and the review is the same for every author. See the journal's publication fees policy.
